  1. Start with mildly cold water and go for a colder shower after 2 or 3 showers. 
  2. Never jump under a cold shower at once. Our body temperature remains at 37 degrees Celsius, much higher than the water we use for cold showers. Start washing your feet, hands, and then your body so that your body can adjust to the temperature. Sudden exposure to cold water may cause negative effects on the cardiovascular system and consequently our delicate organs and tissues. 
  3. Give your body a few minutes to cool down before going for a cold shower. Our trainer recommended going to the bathroom before taking a shower after a workout. (It does not have any scientific reference but since our trainer told me so I have been following his instructions and have never faced any complications. So I think if it is not beneficial, there is no harm in incorporating this into your routine.) 
  4. It may not be a good idea to stay in a cold shower for a long time. So, we suggest a moderate approach in this regard.
